Do you have daily nagging knee pain?

Are you dealing with knee discomfort or pain?

Do you have knee pain every time you perform a work-out including squats or jumps or lunges?

Are you a teenage athlete that has pain around your kneecap whenever you practice or it hurts the rest of the day after practice?

Are you a runner and have been dealing with IT band problems and you have pain on the side of your knee that won't go away, no matter how much you foam roll that IT band?

Does your knee feel stiff and sore when you wake-up in the morning or after you've been sitting for a long time?

Have you sprained your knee during rolling or soccer or another activity, and you're concerned about ligament damage or a meniscus tear and you're not sure what to do? Maybe you've tried injections or had a surgery to "fix" the problem but you're still dealing with pain. Or maybe you've been told you need surgery for a meniscus problem but you really don't want that option?

If you've been told that knee pain is just a side effect of being active or running or from getting older and is something you need to learn to live with, then that's just not true... and we can help.

If someone told you that knee surgery is in your future or you’re worried that you’ll have to give up the sports and activities you love due to knee pain that just won’t get better, then we're here to help because we KNOW knees and what it takes to get them back to full and painless function naturally.

If you’re tired of being slowed down by a nagging ache or sharp pain in your knee, then let’s talk.

We offer a free 20-minute phone consultation with one of our doctors of physical therapy for us to talk about your specific situation and so that you can ask us any questions you like.  There is no obligation to book an appointment after the call— that is your decision.  Our goal is to help you figure out your best next step in solving this problem.

Most people decide to live with the pain for a while to see if it will get better on its own.  Eventually, when it’s still hanging around six months later, people will usually visit a physician who prescribes rest, medication, or injections.  These things can help in the short term, but when you go back to the activities you love, the pain usually returns because the root causes of the pain weren’t dealt with. And then you're told to consider a surgery or to simply stop doing what you love (very common story in runners, tennis players, and those who perform heavier weightlifting).

When it comes to the knee, there are many things that can cause the pain or at least maintain the pain unless they are addressed. If you have knee pain, and you or a heath care practitioner has never assessed your calf and ankle mobility or assessed trigger points in your quads or assessed the mobility, balance, and strength in your hips, then you could be missing the CAUSE of your pain. Simply relying on treating just where the knee hurts or relying on foam rolling muscles around the area will often lead to poor or only temporary results. There are so many more things that can be done to fix the root problem.

Knee pain is one of the most common issues that we see at 901 Physical Therapy, and people are often very confused by the time they see us because they’ve heard so many different things about how to get rid of the pain, and none of them seem to have provided the solution.

We’ve treated hundreds of people who suffer from minor to debilitating knee pain, and we’ve helped them get back to the sports and activities they love with no pain.  We specialize in treating active people who don’t want to be slowed down by something as annoying as a painful knee.  Whether the pain is new or has been around for years, we know how to get you back to squatting, running, and jumping again without pain.  This does not have to be something you suffer from
forever, and surgical interventions are NOT the only options you have.

We’ve seen how frustrated our patients are when they’ve spent lots of time and money visiting different physicians and practitioners to receive expensive imaging and medications, all while still experiencing the same pain in their knee.  It can be very confusing to know the best way to deal with your knee pain, especially when you hear different advice from different people.   We listen to people’s stories every day about how they’re tired of bouncing from appointment to appointment with no real change or improvement in their daily life.

We know how to get you on the road to a quick recovery and teach you the lifelong skills to keep your knees strong and resilient in whatever you put them through. One of the best parts about our work is hearing from people who had been told that they would deal with chronic knee soreness indefinitely or that surgery was their only option but are now back to their daily activities and sports after our treatment.

Most people's knee pain hangs around much longer than it needs to because it never received the proper diagnosis and treatment.  It can be tempting to keep hoping that it'll get better with time, but most of the patients we see have been dealing with chronic knee pain for too long, and it's NOT just your age, it's NOT a normal part of life, and it IS treatable.

If you're tired of living with knee pain, and you're ready to book an appointment to take the first step in eliminating it, call or text us at (901) 310-3901.
